Effective Date: [PUBLISH DATE — e.g., May 1, 2026]

Black Rock Mortgage takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through blackrockmortgage.com (“the Site”), operated by Black Rock Mortgage, a division of Coast 2 Coast Mortgage. It covers website visitors, prospective borrowers who request information, and anyone who contacts us through the Site.

If you submit a loan application through our secure online application portal, additional disclosures (including a federally required Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy notice) will apply. See Section 5 below.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you contact us, request a quote, or fill out a form on our Site, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Information about the property you’re considering financing
  • General financial information (estimated income, employment status, credit range) — only what you choose to share
  • Communications you send us (email, text, voicemail, contact form messages)

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site:

  • IP address and approximate location (city/state level)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time on site, and referring website
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

Information from Loan Applications

If you proceed to a full loan application via our secure online portal, you’ll provide additional sensitive financial information (Social Security number, full income details, asset documentation, etc.). That information is governed by the GLBA Privacy Notice and our application portal’s separate privacy disclosures.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and inquiries
  • Provide quotes, pre-qualification estimates, and loan information
  • Process loan applications you submit
  • Communicate with you about loan options, rates, and required documentation
  • Send marketing emails or text messages — only if you’ve opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Improve our website, analyze visitor behavior, and enhance the user experience
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and licensing laws and regulations
  • Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized activity

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or sell the personal data of website visitors or loan applicants to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations. Specifically:

With Wholesale Mortgage Lenders

As a mortgage broker, we partner with wholesale lenders to find the best loan program for your situation. When you apply for a loan, we share your application information with one or more lenders for underwriting and approval purposes.

With Service Providers

We work with vetted third-party service providers who help us run our business — including credit reporting agencies, appraisers, title companies, document verification services, email/SMS marketing platforms, and our website infrastructure providers. These vendors are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

For Legal Compliance

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or in response to a government or regulatory request — including federal and state mortgage licensing authorities, the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS), and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

In a Business Transfer

If Black Rock Mortgage or Coast 2 Coast Mortgage is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’ll notify you if such a transfer affects how your data is handled.

5. GLBA Privacy Notice (Loan Applicants)

If you submit a loan application, federal law (the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, or GLBA) requires us to provide you with a separate, formal Privacy Notice describing how we collect, share, and protect your nonpublic personal information.

You will receive this GLBA Privacy Notice when you apply, and again annually if you are an active borrower. A current copy is available on request. Email privacy@blackrockmortgage.com for a copy.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, and analyze how visitors use the Site. The categories include:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Required for the Site to function — for example, remembering form data while you fill it out. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors find and use the Site. This helps us improve content and user experience. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify individual visitors.

Marketing and Retargeting Cookies

If enabled, we use marketing tools (such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or similar) to show relevant ads to past visitors on other websites. You can opt out of marketing cookies through your browser settings or industry opt-out tools like the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Most browsers let you control cookies through your settings — you can delete existing cookies, block all cookies, or allow only certain types. Be aware that disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information:

  • Encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections for all Site traffic
  • Encrypted secure portals for loan application submission
  • Access controls and authentication for staff handling consumer data
  • Regular review of security practices in line with industry standards

That said, no system is 100% secure. We can’t guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us at your own risk. If you believe your information may have been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@blackrockmortgage.com.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you live, you generally have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements — see below)
  • Opt out of marketing emails or text messages at any time
  • Withdraw consent for any data use you previously authorized

Important note on retention: Mortgage and lending records are subject to federal and state retention requirements (often 3–7 years or longer). We may not be able to fully delete loan application data if it is subject to those rules. We’ll explain what we can and can’t delete when you make a request.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@blackrockmortgage.com or call 352-619-4959.

9. State-Specific Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California law gives you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete (subject to legal retention), the right to correct, the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Other States

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law (currently Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and a growing list of others), you generally have rights similar to California’s, including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. Submit a request via privacy@blackrockmortgage.com.

Florida Residents

Florida residents have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (effective for certain qualifying businesses), including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. Whether the Florida law applies to Black Rock Mortgage depends on the law’s revenue thresholds; we honor reasonable requests from Florida residents regardless.

For all state requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing. We’ll respond within the timelines required by the applicable state law (typically 45 days).

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites — including our online loan application portal hosted by Coast 2 Coast Mortgage, social media platforms, and other partner sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies separately before sharing information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our practices, or the services we offer. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted prominently on the Site. If you continue to use the Site after a change, your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
