- What happens if I put incorrect data on my loan application? Don’t worry, we can update any information we need to in order to make sure your application is correct.
- Is it going to be a hard credit check? We do pull a full tri-merge credit report so we can run the automated underwriting system but if you request a soft credit check we can do that.
- How long is my pre-approval good for? The standard answer is 90 days, because that’s how long a credit report is good for, but if nothing changes on your credit it can good for longer.
- What is the difference between a pre-approval and a pre-qualification? With a pre-approval we do a full tri-merge credit check and run the automated underwriting system. With a pre-qualification we just take a look at credit and the income and make a determination.
- How long does it take to get a mortgage pre-approval? On a weekday for an employed person, 24 hours or less. For someone self employed we need to review tax returns or bank statements for income.
